After my cheese fondue was such a hit, I thought I’d better follow it up with the classic dessert – chocolate fondue.
Its super easy – kids (and adults!) will love it! Hey, its melted chocolate and cream – Need I say more?
Chocolate Fondue goes well with…
Berries, Cherries, Apple, Pear, Grapes, Mango, Pineapple, Banana, Citrus and Kiwifruit.
Marshmallows, Coconut Macaroons, Biscuits, Biscotti, Candy Canes, Gingerbread, Meringue, Chewy Caramels, Doughnut Pieces, Waffle Pieces, Potato Crisps, Pretzels and Bacon.
Chocolate fondue
Ingredients
- 300 mls thickened cream
- 300 g good-quality dark chocolate finely chopped
Adults version
- 1-2 tbs orange, coffee or hazelnut liqueur
Instructions
- Heat cream in a saucepan over medium heat until almost boiling. Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Pour hot cream mixture over chocolate. Stir with a metal spoon until melted and smooth. Serve.
Adults version
- Stir in suggested liqueur or any of your favourite flavoured alcohol into the cream before adding it to the chocolate.
