Classic tiramisu

I dont drink coffee or even tea, but I still LOVE tiramisu. I think its the combination of the creamy mascarpone layers with the boozy marsala. I make mine on the boozy side rather than strong coffee, but Im positive even coffee lovers will love my version.

Ingredients
Servings:
Instructions
  1. In a heatproof bowl, dissolve coffee in the boiling water. Stir in 160ml of the masala. Dip half the biscuits, one at a time, in the coffee mixture. Layer them, in a single layer, over the base of a 2.5 litre capacity serving dish.
  2. Beat cream and sugar until soft peaks form. Fold in mascarpone and the remaining marsala. Spread half the cream mixture over biscuits in dish.
  3. Dip remaining biscuits, one at a time, in coffee mixture. Arrange them over cream layer. Top biscuit layer with remaining cream mixture. Dust with cocoa. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Serve.
Recipe Notes

If you make the tiramisu a few days before required, you will be able to cut thick slices (like in the picture) as the cream with firm up in the fridge and make it easier to slice.
